The following document will be comparing the American Management Association (AMA) and Society for Advancement of Management (SAM). I will be looking at the websites for both associations and looking at how they are alike and how they are different. The two associations seem to have similar titles so a person would easily be led to believe that the two associations are very similar. I will be comparing the two companies to see if they have the same goals.
Becoming a member of the AMA is all about having opportunities to attend seminars to better educate you about the professional world and to have access to business management resources. The AMA offers multiple different membership options. They offer individual plans and they offer organization plans. The organization memberships are meant for corporate companies or for small businesses. Individual memberships are individuals to opt to enrich their own life with having to be involved in some sort of business already. Being a member of AMA gives at least 10% saving on everything, unlimited access to member-only content, up to 25% savings on last seat offers, and subscriptions to members-only publications.
SAM is a non-profit organization completely ran by volunteers. It is one of the oldest professional management associations in the world. They have been around since 1912. Their goal is to form bonds between different types of people in order to further enhance their management abilities.
