BPT and Immersive theatre became new forms of theatrical protest. BPT used puppets to highlight the link between objects and humans
within their environment. From there, BPT discussed politics and the stress and harm it put on both the objects and humans. Politics became the factor that sought to harm the relationship between objects and humans. Environmental Theatre was an act of protest against traditional theatre that separated the audience and actors. Since the audience is able to have direct contact with actors in ET, they are able to create a stronger, deeper relationship.
