The list is extensive. Although both candidates agree on numerous issues it doesn’t mean that the way they plan on going about these issues correlate. Take the policy of higher taxes on the wealthy. Bernie’s plan would require employees/employers to contribute 0.2 percent of wages, while Hillary’s plan is to have only the wealthiest of Americans have increased taxes. Whereas Clinton wants to keep Obama care in place Sanders wants to take it a step further with a single payer health care system. Increasing federal minimum wage is another policy agreed upon, Hillary suggested an increase to twelve dollars, but Sanders suggest an increase to…

Bernie Sanders has a long history for standing up for civil rights as well as minority rights. But he has more recently been recognized for his contribution to the civil rights movement, as a participant in Martin Luther King Jr.’s March on Washington in 1963 and as leader of protests to demand fair housing at the University of Chicago (Wellman). While Sanders was volunteering with the Congress of Racial Equality (CORE), Hillary Clinton was volunteering with Barry Goldwater who voted against the Civil Rights Act (Harris). This may not seem relevant anymore, since Sanders is no longer in the running for President; but it is to me.…

When I was first asked to Vote it was an easy choice for me. I was picking Donald Trump. He was a business man that could help America financially and could take us out of the national debt. However, the more I looked at Donald Trump and the way his outlook on things were, I started to notice that maybe he is not a good fit for our president. Based on the way he wants to face the issues of education, foreign policy, and immigration, compared to Hilary Clinton and her way to face the issues it is clear to me now that Hilary Clinton is a better choice for presidential office than Donald Trump.…
