“McDonalds” and “HFT – Supporting people with Learning Disabilities”
The similarities between “McDonalds” and “HFT” are not too many but I think they are very positive to the community.
The similarity which I found is that both companies have charity sectors.
McDonald’s charity is called “Ronald McDonald House Charities”. This is a non-profit corporation which creates, finds and supports programs that directly improve the health and well being of children.
RMHC programs are grass-roots driven to enable the company to offer help when children need it most-right in their own communities. RMHC makes an immediate, positive impact on children’s lives through company’s global network of local Chapters in 52 …show more content…
HFT provides the very best quality of support and care for people with learning disabilities and their families.
Although established 45 years ago HFT have developed into a progressive organization pioneering many areas of research and service provision so they can help people live the lives they want.
As the “Ronald McDonalds House Charities” organize a donation, the HFT also does fund-raising so they need people’s help to continue their vital work with individuals with learning disabilities. People can support HFT in many ways.
“Ronald McDonalds House Charities” can be supported through online donation, donation by mail or fax, when become a volunteer, giving toys or food and other.
HFT also can be donated by sending a gift, supporting a project, online shopping, joining the members, leaving a legacy (people can help the next generation).
Another similarity between these two companies is that they both have websites and they are in need for the community. It gives the possibility to the people to find out more about the website. For example:
“Who they are”
“What they do and why”
“Where they are” and …show more content…

The main advantages of the charities are that:
• Do not normally have to pay income/corporation tax (in the case of some types of income), capital gains tax, stamp duty, and gifts to charities are free of inheritance tax
• Pay no more than 20% of normal business rates on the buildings which they use and occupy to further their charitable purposes
• Can get special VAT treatment in some circumstances
• Are often able to raise funds from the public, grant-making trusts and local government more easily than non-charitable bodies
• Can formally represent and help to meet the needs of the
