I thought that Walmart is significantly higher than Target. Walmart is increasing at the steady rate, whereas Target changes a lot. Target eventually gets to a point where its still increasing but its not increasing at the same rate that Walmart is. At the end of third quarter of Walmart had nearly $210 billion in assets. On average the company sells $1.3 billion a day. While Target has just entered the Canadian market --and Big lots is pulling out of it. Walmart has operation in US, Brazil, Argentina, Canada, Central
America, Chile, China, India, Japan, Mexico, and United Kingdom. Walmart strategy revolve around offering its servers everyday low price, or EDLP, and this strategy resonate with people all over the world. But my point of view Walmart mission statement is poor " We save people money so they can live better" because its doesn't include the product that they are selling, in technology that they plan on using, or how they are going to complete that. Other side target mission statement is good " Our mission is to make the Target preferred shopping destination for our guests by delivering outstanding value, continues innovation and an exceptional guest experience by consistently fulfilling our expect more.
In my point of view I am new in US but I noticed in Target they have lots a expensive staff. And I want to tell them they add some good machine system because last time I went there with my friend we want to purchase something but we cant fount it so we asked a employee about that and he also don't sure is this available or not. They have to some idea about which staff they have or don't. Walmart is big department but when you ask some foreigner who came from Asian country they don't know about Walmart because about their locations. Walmart have to focus about his advertisement.
