The worst co-worker that I am going to present was a cashier as I used to and whom I worked with at French Hypermarket Company that is called Carrefour, which is one of the largest hypermarket chains in the world. The reason why I feel this way toward the co-worker is due to the obvious carless attitude to job tasks that we work through everyday at the workplace. The Carrefour retailer that we worked for is one of the biggest retailers and that is next to the largest Mall center In Riyadh. Thus, the busy routine we daily practice at the cashier registers causes the co-worker to go under pressure and therefore unable him to comply to the work regulations.
As a cashier, I was one of the best cashers at the retailer in which I was close to getting promoted to supervisor. However, I quit before that even happened to pursue my bachelor degree at IUPUI. At that time, my supervisor authorized me to train the co-worker the job tasks. As I started training him, the issues start arising such as the irresponsibility toward the clock in schedule that put him to face difficulty to pass the training course at the required time. Being on time seems nearly impossible for him no matter how important tasks we have to do or busy day we go through. His bad work ethics was one of the main reasons that caused him to be considered my worst co-worker.
Children Charity support was the company’s primary direction to raise monetary aids by the customers donating money at the registers as they checkout. So, the co-worker took advantage of the customer donations in unethical way by manipulating with the rules and stealing a small percentage amount that he does not count as donations to take it himself.
The selection process in hiring employees at the company was not practiced with loyalty or some type of ethical behavior; therefore, the interviewers were not able to recognize the type of personality the co-worker appears. The cultural values at
