Competitive Analysis Of HDFC Credila's Social Media
HDFC Credila have a large social media presence, with over 300,000 likes on Facebook.
Ascent has a very small social media presence, with less than 50 followers on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram.
Ascent, Stilt and Avanse have modern, clean user interfaces on their websites, whereas HDFC Credila's is more cluttered.
Overview

Options for students to obtain loans are varied, and the companies outlined in this competitive analysis use different strategies to market to potential customers. Importance is placed on clean, modern web design, social media activity and easy to understand information in order to best connect with customers.

STILT Stilt also have a modern website, but with a slightly cleaner, less cluttered aesthetic than Avanse. Stilt offer smaller loans between $1000-$25000, primarily to immigrants and expats who may have poor credit history. A cosigner is also not required, and loans do not have to be used on education.

The home page prompts the viewer to sign up straight away, offering a fillable form. Upon scrolling down, there are links to news articles about the service, along with testimonials. Despite the slightly dated and cluttered look, navigation of the site is easy, with intuitive menus and a bar at the bottom that keep the "apply now", chat and testimonials constantly accessible. One difference from the other companies listed was that they highlight that a loan from HDFC Credila provides income tax benefits under Section 80E of Income Tax Act of India.

HDFC Credila have a far larger social media following than the other companies, with ~301,859 likes on Facebook, and ~2,289 subscribers on YouTube with individual videos having up to 9000+ views. Their Twitter is also extremely active, with ~7,631 tweets and ~3,796 followers. Content on the various platforms varies, from inspirational messages and profiles of successful people to tips that prospective students can use in their overseas experience.

ASCENT
