The internet is one of the best inventions in this century
My mother, my brother and I went to my uncle’s house to pick up a letter and some pictures that my father mailed to us from Israel, probably weeks ago (he has been working there for almost 7 months.) He would also call us at my uncle’s home phone. It was a cold Saturday night, but when I finally listened at my father voice, I felt warm and overwhelmed. He talked about his work, the city where he lives, the weather, about the people, what they eat, etc. Talking to him and watching his pictures I felt closer to that place which was on the other side of the planet. The advances in technology, in transportation, in communication, and

This feature is a big advantage which facilitates the promotion, communication, and enjoyment of the people who visit the web site. With only making a click to the correct icon, the desired language will be shown on the web page: English, French, Mandarin, Spanish, Italian, etc. It is like having a virtual translator on hand – all the time. Before, there was very limited information about business, books, or news from other countries. The internet makes it possible to read a page that was created in different language, in a country far away, for their community – in our own house. Another advantage of having diverse language capability is for business. To be capable of buying materials worldwide sounds like a very simple task today, but it was very difficult before the invention of the …show more content…
As one example are social websites. People are capable of meeting from anywhere in the world. You can chat with somebody from Germany now; 5 minutes later meet a person from Spain, and later on meet another from Argentina. This was pretty much impossible before the invention of the internet, unless you were at a local bar in New York City or in a ONU’s convention. One more example is mailing. Regular mail used to take days, weeks, and sometimes months to reach at the destination. Today, thanks to the internet, a full letter can be sent and received in less than 5 minutes. Last of all, chatting, messaging, and talking from distance places have been improved thanks to the internet. No matter where you are, as long as you have internet connection and a device capable of web surfing like computers, a smart phone, an Iphone, etc. you can instantly communicate with somebody at the other end of the line. Web cams make even better these tasks because you can listen, talk and observe each other’s reactions. This capability is widely used in social chatting, long distance classes, and business conferences.
Certainly this easy, fast, immense amount of communication also gives the opportunity for bad things to happen. Internet opens a window that could be more dangerous than enjoyable, if we don’t take some precaution. Hackers could steal your identity; there is an unlimited amount of pornography, child pornography,

A common theory among many people is that if a crime is committed, punishment is deserved and that the punishment should fit the crime. What are the influencing factors when punishment is determined? Today, minors who commit violent crimes can be tried as adults or as a juvenile. The juvenile justice system provides a rehabilitation program for offenders of crimes. Often minors take advantage of the system because they understand once of legal age their records are expunged and they are no longer held accountable for the crimes committed as a minor. In order to protect victims and families, serve justice and prevent future violent crimes, the American justice system must impose tougher punishment on offenders of violent crimes which means sometimes children should be tried as adults.…

In the State of California, a semiautomatic rifle is considered to be an assault weapon if it occupies a detachable ammunition magazine or one of various other features, including a pistol grip, flash suppressor or grenade launcher (Feinstein, 2013). While staunch supporters of the 2nd Amendment often uphold that assault rifles have accounted for a very small percentage of firearm-related violent crimes, the author of this paper argues that semiautomatic rifles have become the weapon of choice in mass assault crimes (mainly in the United States) and therefore backs the ban on civilian ownership of these particular types of firearms.…

Now college is like a new turning point for people who have just graduated out of high school and students are very bias about going to college or not. So I think they should go straight into the work force and there are some reasons why student don’t go to college. Students don’t want to go to college because maybe they think of it as a waste of time and that they have no need to go to another school to learn a specific course for 4 years and that they can do it themselves. For examples some artist in the music industry didn’t go to college like J Cole or Rihanna didn’t study music just to be an artist. Some animators are pros just from teaching themselves instead of learning it at colleges. Another reason would be that some…

I would know, because not only was I a victim, I was also a person who stood by and simply watched it happen.…

I've had personal experience with growing up in the country and it is because of growing up where I did that made me the person I am today. Growing up in the country I always had my family not matter what, making those connections made it easy to stay connected to my family even now when we all don't live so close. I am one out of eight children also one of the oldest which meant I had to help with the younger siblings. I didn't mind, doing it actually helped me gain a great relationship with each of my siblings. Living out in the country not only gave me a chance to be with my brothers and sisters, but also my mother and father. I remember helping my father with the animals; horses, cows, chickens, you name it we had it.…
