Collaboration can be defined as a partnership where two or more individuals or organizations actively work together on a project or problem (ASCA, 2003, p. 129). For successful implementation to occur, the committed collaboration amongst a variety of stakeholders is necessary in a comprehensive developmental guidance program. Counselors are responsible for and should be influential in their campus environment. They should aim to develop their campus to the extent that it is tolerant of culture and diversity. Hearing and vision screenings will occur and be available for all students. Any screening results will be sent home and/or discussed confidentially with a student 's parent/guardian. The objectives of the school counseling and guidance program will be facilitated by the counselor through , classroom instruction, campus assemblies, large groups, small-groups, and individual counseling sessions. Teachers and members of the school 's staff support and promote school objectives and the goals of the counseling program’s mission statement. Compliance from parents with the school will be expected to improve the likelihood of their child 's success. Opportunities for supplemental instruction will be offered in the form of tutoring sessions, evening events highlighting the components of curriculum, and other extra-curricular
