Computer capability allows users to interact with instructors apply their lessons more simple and attractive.Bitter (1989) stipulates that the computer can work faster and operate 24 hours without stopping and releasing the information accurately. Computer use is entirely related to information and communication technology that is now applied in the education system. This is because the computer is used as a database to provide the information sought or demanded by the public. The rapid development of multimedia technologies and internet technologies bring a new breath in the world of information technology-based education and communication. The combination of these two technologies is increasingly boost the use of technology in education. This is because in recent years the use of technology World Wide Web or the internet become so dominant in human life. This technology has been growing rapidly in the country's education system both at the primary school level up to the tertiary level. Learning through the internet or the web is a new approach that is gaining the attention and it is still being studied from various aspects by the educators (Khan, 1997). Statistics also show proliferation of internet technology (referring to the combination of technology between computer and communication) helped a lot in the process of R & D. learningdirectly through the internet is able to provide a learning environment that resembles the complex and unstructured situation in real life.Given the increasing demand for internet address space, the government will consider the need to change the Internet Malaysia from Internet Protocol Version 4 (IPv4) to Internet Protocol Version 6 (IPv6). This clearly shows that Malaysia is not left behind in the use of ICT, especially in the growing number of internet users at present.

3 3. Briefly explain three (3) advantages and three (3) disadvantages of computer usage in the industry that you choose?

The advantages of computer usage in teaching and learning are:

i. e-Learning gets real. Let's begin with stating the obvious. Without computers, learning would be restricted within the walls of institutions, and nothing could possibly be more unfair. Knowledge and education is empowering, and the best way to make is accessible to everyone is through computers. Working professionals, stay-at-home parents, senior citizens, even curious minds benefit from online education. e-Learning is accessible and affordable, not to mention extremely doable, be it a professional looking to hone his management skills or a college student wanting to learn a foreign language. ii. Making knowledge interesting. We all know how learning about the depth of the South China Sea in geography class can be a little dowdy for young children. However, by introducing the audio-visual method of learning, computers have made education interesting. As communication systems enhance, education will change for better - computers will make our children more curious, knowing that the answers to their questions are at hand. iii. Bringing the world closer. Computers are shrinking our world, and from what we're seeing, it appears to be a mixed bag. While social networking is a boon for those who wish to use it to expand their academic horizons, it does come with implications. But, focusing on the positives of networking - it bonds people around the world, helping students reach out to scholars and vice versa, making connectivity worthwhile. iv. Reducing paperwork. Computers have more or less eliminated paperwork in the administration section of education. Thanks to websites, we can do away with printing brochures, application forms, admission and other administrative documents, resulting in procedures that are cost-effective and environment friendly. Tests have also become online, making assessment procedures easy for teachers and professors.

4 While, the disadvantages of computer usage in the teaching and learning are: i. Limited teacher expertise. A teacher who has a computer has to do with the level of internet usage. According Zoraini (2000) in the process of implementing a computer-based program at the school, a teacher usually trained but numbers are limited. Sunal (1996) found that meaningful learning can be achieved through the use of internet resources by students. However, this would not happen if the knowledge and experience of the teacher is limited to the use of the internet. ii. Lack of support services. Supply and maintenance of computer equipment at the school at a high cost. But the lack of support staff who can perform computer maintenance work causes many computers left unattended damaged without repair. Apart from that, the work of this computer repair charged to the teacher who has the gift of computer skills. To overcome this problem, each school should be established technical support unit for a specific computer not only in computer installation even in the overhaul and maintenance of the computer. iii. Problem in internet content. Of information on the internet is not filtered will be a danger and harm especially to students, which has been one of the busiest internet browser in Malaysia. There is a lot of information that is not appropriate, such as information of sex, violence, incitement, gossip, discrimination, drugs, promotion of violence and abuse, gambling and so on. Studies conducted in the U.S. found that 48% of teachers also meet difficult to find suitable sites for teaching the class. Studies conducted by the School Board Foundation in Thomas (2000) showed that parents concerned about pornographic sites, 27% are concerned about violence and 20% worried about hate content. iv. Copyright problems. Computer technology has become the work of copying the information so easy to just use the command file: save as in the web viewer. Usually the information freely available on the internet. From a legal standpoint, it is an offense when a person re-publish any information on the web without written permission from the original author. However, there are many people who copy and exploit information and graphic pictures from the internet regardless of copyright problems (Warren, 1998). Accordingly, the Copyright Act (Amendment) 1997 was created to protect intellectual copyrights multimedia producers through registration on the internet, licensing and royalty acquisitions.

    1. Franchisees gain numerous advantage when they purchase a franchise. First, while a franchisee may be opening a new store, it is part of an already established business and system. This means a franchisee has access to turnkey operations, allowing an increased speed to establishing and growing the business. Franchisees also get support for management and training activities, as well as financial assistance. Going hand in hand with this, a franchise already has an established brand name, quality of goods and service which have been standardized across the franchisor’s larger company, and national advertising programs from franchisors. Franchises also have large-volume, centralized buying power. A franchise has proven products, and successful business format. Finally, site selection and territorial protection is offered for franchises. All of these advantages increase the chance for a new business in a franchise to be successful. While there are many advantages to a franchise, there are disadvantages as well. First and foremost, in order to own a franchise and take advantage of all the benefits of owning a franchise, there are fees and royalties which are ongoing for advertising, use of the franchise name, products and services, and for use of the business system. A franchisee must also adhere strictly to regulations and standards imposed by franchisors. Franchisors also require the purchase of supplies and equipment from approved suppliers. Franchisors can also restrict what products can be offered in a store, which limits the product line as a whole. This results in an overall limit of freedom which entrepreneurs who start their own business do not have to deal with. Finally, and possibly most relevant from a business standpoint is market saturation. Franchisees have grown tremendously fast in recent years, resulting in an overwhelming number of franchises in the market place.…
