In high school, I enrolled in the Information Technology program where I learned to use, build, maintain, and troubleshoot computers. At the end of my junior year, I took and passed the CompTIA A+ certification exams becoming a certified computer technician. Six months later, I passed the CompTIA Network+ certification exam validating my knowledge in network systems. In the course, EE 161 Computer Aided Problem-Solving, a C programming class, the engineering concepts were used extensively as all the assignments consisted of creating a program to solve a problem. To complete the assignment successfully, the code had to be well designed, well written, tested with a variety of test cases, and debugged as best as possible. In addition, the program had to be properly documented, include comments, and follow naming conventions.
Using my knowledge of programming, I was able to learn JAVA programming quickly. My initial plan was to learn Android app development which requires knowledge of the JAVA language. To accelerate my learning, I took different courses in JAVA programming through edx.org. My interest in Android app development has not diminished, but I decided to focus on learning JAVA programming properly before moving to Android.
My knowledge in electrical engineering and my experience as a computer technician allows me to learn and understand engineering and Information Technology concepts quickly and easily. Moreover, my interest in technology motivates my desire to learn and to strive for greatness. Consequently, I am certain that I can offer the technical skills you seek.
