Concussion Journey In High School
Envision walking down the school halls and not having any recollection of who your best friend is. Or being in the local store and passing by your friends but thinking they are total strangers. How about being put on an alzheimer's medication your junior year of high school. This is what I was able to overcome during my concussion journey.
I entered my freshman year of highschool with Post Concussive Syndrome that I developed from four separate concussions. Due to these traumatic brain injuries, I have encountered many lasting symptoms such as memory loss, headache, fatigue, low concentration and difficulty processing information. Having these symptoms has required me to need accommodations to do my school work. The modifications have been
