Furthermore, discrimination of oppressive barriers in long -term care facilities are perpetuated through heterosexism and he may have a hard time accessing these services due to his fears of encountering different treatment or lack of addressing his particular needs that he may have. The disadvantages of using this assessment are it doesn’t focus on the analysis of certain problems and situation. It rather focuses on targeting the complex of the issues. In addition, it doesn’t specifically examine the individuals, their behavior and human social interactions on a small scale. Moreover, it is not necessarily concerned with individual’s social activities and interactions. The strengths-based Assessment would be useful to the social work practice because it is primary focus is not on problems or client deficits unlike the bio-psychosocial spiritual assessment.
