There has always been conflict within every civilization throughout world history. Conflict can be seen as war with other countries or nations, or as corruption or war within ones own country. One great example of conflict in the modern day world today is, the civil war in Syria. This war is a major conflict because neither side of the war shows any sign of stopping in there efforts to gain the power of Syria. Conflict can cause either great harm to a country or it can cause important problems to be dealt with and fixed, although conflict often leads to fighting, it is not always a bad thing. In the past there has been great conflict in the world, one of the best examples of conflict within ones country was in America during the Civil War. The Civil War is a great example of conflict because it wasn't reasonless conflict, there were many problems within America at that point that had to be fixed. Much like the Civil War in America during the 1860's is the Civil war in Syria. Both of these wars were very similar in the sense that there were many social and political problems that had to be fixed when the wars began. Another example that shows how similar the American Civil War is compared to the Syrian Civil War is the struggle for power within both of these countries. During the American Civil War the Rebels wanted President Lincoln out of power because he was trying to abolish slavery, he didn't ever step down and led America to be a more free country. In Syria the Rebels also want the President out of power, although for more fair and just reasons. On top of that another similarity between these two wars is the amount of death, although many more people died in the American Civil war, over 600 thousand, the amount of people that have died in the war in Syria is also astonishing, over 60 thousand. Death is often the unnecessary part of conflict, although in some cases it is necessary because there is no way using logic and words will
