The ongoing conflict in Syria is becoming a more serious problem by the day. Many countries are joined into this conflict as well, who are on either side: the Syrian government’s or the rebels’. Military intervention is still being decided in the US and either decision will have its costs.
The most reasonable decision to choose is not to intervene with military in Syria. The international community should wait until they have a reason for intervention which is if the allegation of Assad’s government’s use of chemical weapons on the rebels is true or not. It’s a more reasonable decision because Russia’s president, Vladimir Putin, “strongly cautioned the US against launching military action without the UN approval, saying it would represent an aggression.” I agree with this statement because if the US goes through with it Iran, Syria’s ally, “warned that any military action against Syria risks sparking a broader regional conflagration.” But, the US should still aid the rebels, at least from afar.
New international policies may affect Syria’s people and neighbors in good and bad ways. Good ways in which gaining new allies in the UN like the US or France. But it can also cause bad results like further economic loss due to the civil war. Military action can also cause a bad result because if countries begin to join in it, it may cause another World War, possibly. But if no international action is commencing it may soon spread to Syria’s neighbors and cause a disruption in the Middle East and make it into a bigger problem than it already is.
All in all this conflict will be difficult to solve since it will have to end with one of the sides admitting defeat which, who knows when, will happen. Hopefully it can end soon without more deaths and more fighting.
