Conflict can cause people and nations to grow and become strong while defending themselves and their interests. When conflict threatens homeland and families, people tend to rise up and gain strength in their time of need. Conflicts can often lead to power. Leaders are born during conflict. When things are going wrong, a leader can rise to lead a nation in its darkest
hour. The more conflict a nation faces, the stronger its people and its leaders become.
In times of trouble, conflict can be the reason that a military becomes strong. When peace is not an option, fighting is often the answer. Defending a nation in conflict can cause a military to rise and become strong. A nation that has faced many battles has had experience and grows stronger with every fight or conflict. Fighting for freedom, land, or religious beliefs has caused nations to rise and have strong militaries. Fighting for what one believes in can make nations stronger.
Sometimes conflict causes the weak to fall, but many times conflict can cause the brave to be stronger and become heroes. Heroes face conflict and stand tall to fight for victory. We do not have to be perfect to be a hero. Maya Angelou stated, “I think a hero is any person really intent on making this a better place for all people.” Sometimes heroes have to fight to make things better for all. Heroes have to make hard decisions in combat. Sometimes leaders become heroes because of what they didn’t allow to happen instead of what could have happened. Heroes protect and serve through conflict and peace times. Conflict has created many heroes through many generations in history and will probably create many more in the future.
Conflict can cause people and nations to fight. Conflict can also be the reason that peace becomes possible. Unsettled nations torn with conflict can be peaceful. Conflict is not always a bad thing. Conflict brings change. The change may be peace. The change may be strength. The change may be freedom. The change may be born in the heroes the conflict created.
