The relationship which Confucianism acknowledges provides a way which people view it as a visible object. It stems from the mindset in believing that relationships are human beings. However, the significant that represents the rectification of names, tend to lend towards the relationship being of a social role which also carries with it, a social status.
This means that Confucianism believes that each individual must have the qualities to live up certain these roles and status to ensure validate a title which he or she is given. For example, if a woman is considered a mother, they must be nurturing and caring to the child they bear, a teacher must provide lessons in order to maintain that title.

Father-son provides the foundation to the society, and the guidelines for which the parent establishes the roles and responsibilities which includes education, morals, obedience, and respect.
2. Elder brother- younger brother creates several languages to include English, French and Spanish which does not distinguish between the two. Establishing the role and distinction where the elder sibling takes the leadership role of the younger sibling, and the younger sibling being in compliance.
3. Husband-wife has a mutual understanding by taking care of one another. The roles are provided in which the husband is more authoritative and considered the protector, while the wife takes on the duties of homemaker and mother.
4. Elder-younger provides the belief that older people holds the responsibility and the mentoring requirements for the younger people. It is because the younger generation lacks the necessary skills which need to be developed in order to establish a certain character.
5. Ruler-subject demands the ability to have the qualities of a father. This is considered the primary role that holds the responsibilities as the care giver, and establishes the code of conduct.
