United States House of Representatives
Washington, D.C. 20515
Dear Representative Nunes:
I am writing to request that you support S. 1950: Comprehensive Veterans Health and Benefits, and Military Retirement Pay Restoration Act of 2014. I understand that the Bill was introduced on January 16, 2014 and was sent to the House on January 27, 2014 for consideration. I strongly feel that we need to support our Veterans for the service they had provided.
The bill represents has multiple areas on consideration for our Veterans all of which are important for us as Americans to support considering their service. The issue of focus that I would like to bring out is the need to have established provision for Healthcare. The bill also provides assistance with physical handicaps that stop the men and woman from have families. The Pros of this is without question what they deserve. The only Con would be the cost to have this available for our Veterans. With all due respect, I believe it is a cost of this bill is a small token of what our gratitude. We spend more money on helping other countries than we do helping our own.
Not only am I an American who benefited from their service but I am a mother of a Veteran, who served three deployments to Iraq and needs to maintain his benefits for his sacrifice to our glorious country. The Comprehensive Veterans Health and Benefits, and Military Retirement Pay Restoration Act of 2014 is a benefit our service men and woman deserve and are entitled too. The benefits to reeducate and assist our Veterans lead a productive life are crucial. I appreciate your service to our country as well and hope you will keep our service personal in mind as you support this Bill.
Respectfully,
Antoinette Iskenian RN

In my opinion I think the VHA has not been doing enough for the Veterans they serve. I don’t think those the VHS are not serving our Veterans out of deliberate negligence on their part I believe that there is a lot red tap and bureaucracy involved I the services provide which may in turn tie the hands of the providers. In general I think its important understand how decision made at a legislative level may be directly effect how are being provide at a direct care level. I think the VHA is working to provide comprehensive care for their Veteran population. For example one area I see the VHA making strides in their services is having Women focused clinics. While womens focused health care with VHA started in 1988, in 2012 the program was modified…

So, this why we have Veterans Day, why . If you’re having trouble figuring out how to do this, here is how you could show your thanks: Fly the Flag; encourage your neighbors, family, and friends to proudly fly “Old Glory” on their porch; or visit a VA Hospital. Just drop by your local VA hospital and play a game of cards or just be a caring listener. It will mean so much to them. Or you even could simply walk up to a veteran and say…
