Connect Disconnect

“connect, disconnect,” was choreographed by Mikaela Laxton to music by Max Richer. The name of the music that was used was “Running.” This piece was performed by four female dancers that wore different costumes. The four females were costumed in black tights with either a blue, purple or both colors in their tops. The designs of the tops were either tank top or around the neck scraped tops. The choreographer did not use any props in her piece, but the dancers’ movement were in unison. There were times when there was repetition with the movements, symmetrical and asymmetrical movements, along with that, there were music responsiveness, where the beat to the music went along with the movement done by the dancers. Contextualization include the observation that this piece was choreographed in a modern genre with pure movement. I do not think there was a meaning behind this show and I think that they just wanted to show different movements done in dance. The dancers from this piece were doing some pedestrian movements and there were some virtuosic movements as well. I would recommend anyone to see this to show different dance styles. With this

The dancers also used gestural movements and sometimes they were asymmetrical and symmetrical from each other. I think that the choreographer did not have a meaning for this piece. Contextualization include the observation that this piece was choreographed in a modern genre with pure movement. I think that the performers did a good job with their performance because they were all together and did a great job. I would tell anyone of any age to go watch this
