It's proven that the faster a car drives the longer the reaction time is for the driver. Scientists at the University of Adelaide in Australia estimated that the risk of a car crash that results in a serious or fatal injury for a "car travelling at 65 kilometres/hour (40 miles/hour) was twice as likely to be involved in a casualty crash as one travelling at 60 (37 miles/hour)."
