Foreign policy analyst Justin Logan from Cato Institute advocates evading war with Iran and states ¨the war would cause large scale civilian casualties and damage prospects of political liberalization inside Iran¨ (The Costs and Benefits of Preventive War Versus Deterrence, 2006). War with Iran will result in the numerous casualties of innocent people located in Iran. The majority of Iran’s population will lose their peace, their family, and their friends.
In the end, wars leave countries devastated and impoverished, and there are alternatives to war that will avoid the death of Iranians.
