Conserve Energy
Conserving energy is very important to our generation and future generations as well. By conserving energy we also help slow down the process of global warming and lower the pollutants in the air that we consume on a daily basis. This is why we need to conserve the energy that we have today.
We should use renewable sources or sources that are renewed at the same rate they are used such as wind power, solar power, hydropower and biomass to supply our energy needs, instead of using nonrenewable sources such as fossil fuels like oil, natural gas and coal. By using the renewable sources for energy your energy bill will cut down in price. The cost to start using these renewable sources is not inexpensive but the source pays for itself down the road.
Things that we as a community can do to help conserve the sources and cut back on the pollution in our community are as follows: walk, use public transportation, car pool or ride a bicycle car emission account for about 60 percent of the pollution in the air according to the EPA Agency. Use the newer fluorescent light bulbs that last longer that the regular incandescent light bulbs and now they are only a few cents more and you will save more money because the bulbs last up to ten times longer than the regular bulbs. Another way to conserve energy is to air dry your laundry three times out of the week if you do laundry every day the will cut your drying cost in half and it also gives your clothes a fresh linen smells with out the cost.
The government can start installing solar panels in on the new homes instead of wiring the homes for the local electric company. The government could also setup a fund for installing the solar panels to the older homes as well for the less fortunate families this will really help with conserving energy and slowing down the pollution in the area.
To bring this meeting to a close remember that everyone needs to do their part in
