This paper explores the Consumer Electronics industry’s Flat Panel Display (FDP) Television category with use of macro-analytical models such as the PEST and Five Forces, as well as fundamental frameworks for strategic analysis such as SWOT and Value Chain. The general findings of the study, while focusing on the overall industry-category’s present and strategic state and concerns, shall specifically highlight items pertaining to technology marketing and commercialization. Subsequently, recommendations and critical success factors are provided.

This paper intends to look into the Consumer Electronics industry’s Flat Panel Display (FDP) Television, evaluate and analyze its current capabilities and limitations; and identify the core immediate and long-term concerns.
Moreover, a set of tactical and strategic recommendations shall be provided at the end of the study, with technology marketing and commercialization as focal areas of consideration.
