3. The contemporary issues and problems in education are relevant to the need of the school administrators and teachers and require them to give alternative course of action towards their resolution. The present administration gave emphasis on the K to 12 Education program, as urgent and critical; thus the Department of the education came up with the proposal to enhance the Basic Education Program in a manner that is least disruptive to the current curriculum, most affordable to government and aligned with the international practice. The enhanced k to 12 Basic education program aims to give opportunity to receive quality education based on an enhanced and decongested curriculum that is internationally recognized and comparable. The aforecited theories greatly influenced the critical roles of SPED teachers in shaping up children with special needs. The theories providing them sufficient mastery of basic competencies needed to live meaningful life. Aligned with the vision of K to 12 Basic Education Program, it is envisioned that graduates be socially aware, pro-activem involved in public and civic affairs, adequately prepares for the world of work, legally employable and globally competitive; hence, these theoretical framework is anchored in the guiding principles of the enhanced curriculum of k-12 Basic Education Program.
