Unlike many other institutions, IISc, Bangalore offers pure electrical engineering and I have completed the aforesaid degree. That is why I think that IISc can be the milestone for my research work. In addition to that, Electrical Engineering Department IISc is shaped by many well recognized professors like Padiyar K R, Indraneel Sen and Nagendra Rao P S, whose area of research is Power System Engineering. Fortunately, my desired research area has a close resemblance with theirs. Therefore, I believe that I will receive great supervision from them. Moreover, due to cultural resemblance and open border, relation between Nepal and India is characterized by intense people-to-people interaction. Hence, I think that IISc will be the perfect destination for Nepalese student like me.
As far my academic background is concerned, I have completed Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering in 2000 AD from Tribhuvan University (TU), Institute of Engineering, Pulchowk, a nationwide popular institute of engineering under government authority. After successful completion of Bachelor’s Degree, I got the opportunity to become a lecturer in the same university where I taught Electrical Machine, Electrical Energy Utilization and Electrical Circuits and got the experience of more than twelve months. In the mean time, I felt the due necessity of advancing my knowledge in Power System Engineering and, hence, I applied for Master’s Degree to TU. During my Master’s Degree, my thesis work was “Contingency Analysis and Ranking” that encouraged me to develop linear set of distribution factors for the
