If you keep up with US-politics you probably already know this, but in case you don’t, let me explain this very recent thing that should really concern you about president-elect Donald Trump.
You might remember the way Donald Trump used to campaign during the primaries and also the general election: him being the anti-establishment candidate who is against the system and not backed by big donors. Then you probably also remember how he constantly used to call out Hillary Clinton for her corruption and to be fair – he was right about that. She took massive amounts of money from special interests and big corporations like Goldman Sachs.
But get ready for yet another gigantic contradiction from Trump: About a week ago it has been announced who Donald Trump considers to pick for director of the Office of Management and Budget in his administration. He wants Gary Cohn – the President and COO of Goldman Sachs – to lead exactly this position. He called out Hillary Clinton for taking money and doing favours for them and now he wants to appoint the president of that very corporation? He already appointed several former executives from the influential bank, such as Steven Mnuchin for Treasury Secretary and Steve Bannon for top White House adviser. I’m baffled how he keeps making these obvious contradictions so confidently, but what is upsetting me even more is that he gets away with it. I almost seems like people can’t put up anymore with all the silly things surrounding Trump and he isn’t even president yet.
