Injections have been used during viewing of opposite gender slides in order to cause severe vomiting and diarrhea, thus resulting in a natural aversion to the opposite sex. If done often enough this method has proven useful in curing heterosexuals of their deviant ways. Electric Shock therapy has also been proven useful as a deterrent for deviant behavior. Placing the electrodes on the sexual organs during opposite sex slide shows, and increasing the voltage for each arousal state, has had a proven effect as well. Of course, with any kind of therapy techniques there are a few side effects, and severe illness and even death does occasionally occur. However, the success rate is such that these findings can easily be attributed to the survival of the fittest. For those intent on continuing on their sick path, with no desire to convert, we have no other option other than to bible bash them to…

The Mental Research Institute (MRI) was founded by Jackson. He was heavily influenced by Bateson and developed the Brief Therapy Project. Nichols (2013) noted “What emerged was an elegantly brief approach based on interrupting vicious cycles that occur when attempts to solve problems only make them worse. Unlike today’s therapies, which are brief by default, the Palo Alto approach was brief by design. (p. 100).…
Cognitive behavioural and psychodynamic approaches to therapy seem to offer contrasting modes of treatment for psychological difficulties, largely due to the fact that they originate from very different theoretical and philosophical frameworks. It seems likely, therefore, that treatment for a woman experiencing depression, anxiety and feelings of inadequacy will proceed along very different lines according to each approach. There do appear to be some features, however, which are common to all effective ‘talking’ therapies, notably rooted in the therapeutic relationship itself and in the qualities and skills of the therapist, whatever their persuasion.…
Over the last decade, new legislation that would affect the LGBTQ community, however, it was not until recently that legislation was passed that directly affects the field of counseling. On April 27, 2016, Tennessee’s Governor Bill Haslam passed a law that gives mental health counselors and therapist to refuse treatment to LGBTQ patients if the patient’s lifestyle contradicts their principles or beliefs unless it is an emergency situation. This is just the latest law that has been passed by southern states that uses religious grounds to target the LGBTQ community for discrimination. A law similar to this is currently not being considered for implementation in South Carolina but as more states decide to implement this type of law it could be.…
There are some conflicting and confusing perceptions of hypnosis. Many people believe that the hypnotist simply places a person into a form of hypnotic trance, where the person has no control of their own actions and thought’s; this however is not necessarily the case. John F Kihlstrom (Ph.D., University of Pennsylvania) stated “The hypnotist does not hypnotize the individual. Rather, the hypnotist serves as sort of a coach or tutor, whose job it is to help the individual become hypnotized”.…

Gay acts are inhumane and need to be stopped. As americans, they are disrespecting our heterosexual lives by prancing around flaunting how happy they are. Conversion therapy is our only option at getting our country back. Tell your family, friends, and children to watch out for our ill citizens so we can immediately get them the help they need. This is the most life changing illness america has had to face is a long time and it's time to make a change so we no longer have to live in such a disgusting…
This study was used to prove whether Dialectical Behavior Therapy would increase active coping skills, reduce passive coping skills and decrease self injury in people with Borderline Personality Disorder. Active coping is defined as any effort to fix the cause of distress, such as changing negative thought processes. Passive coping is the use of maladaptive skills to temporarily relieve pain and ignore the root of the problem. In this study, there were 19 participants that consisted of 16 women and 3 men. The study was conducted in a Dutch psychiatric outpatient institution. Each participant fit the criteria for BPD and were referred to DBT by a psychologist or psychiatrist. Rape is a traumatic experience that affects every aspect of a man or woman’s life. The psychological impacts of sexual trauma are different to each survivor and victim. There are not standard or a particular of recovery process for the effects of sexual abuse or rape. In short, a one-size-fits-all treatment approach would be the furthest from a successful strategy. The recovery for rape and sexual abuse trauma is a slow process, but has been proven that one can heal from it. In Veronica’s case, the selection of treatment strategies and techniques depend on the primary areas of difficulty; main areas of difficulty consist of Axis 1 disorders: post traumatic stress disorder, major depressive disorder, and substance abuse (cannabis). Also, according…
Reparative therapy focuses on helping people repair their “relational deficits” so their legitimate need for emotional connection and gender identification can be met in non-homosexual relationships. Psychoanalytic literature has acknowledged that the homosexual drive is actually a “reparative drive” where one seeks to fulfill needs that are normally met through the medium of the child’s attachment to the parent of the same sex. The homosexual love need is basically a search for parenting.…
