Responsibility is being accountable or to blame and it is the the opportunity or ability to act independently and make decisions without authorization.
Examples of being responsible at LHS

● At lunch, picking up after yourself and after you’re done eating, make sure your table and your area is clean.
● Getting your work done in class and outside of class.
● Seeing something bad happening and telling an adult.
● Accept that being a student is your job and plan to do well.

Integrity is the quality of being honest and having strong moral principles; moral uprightness. Examples of having integrity at LHS
● When a teacher tells you to stop talking and you know it was you, don’t deny it or blame it on anyone else.
● In the hallways, don’t lie about where you’re going.
● Don’t cheat on any tests/quizzes, do the right thing.

Determination is the process of establishing something;firmness of purpose.
Examples of being determined at LHS
● Study for tests or exams regularly
● Get to class on time
● Try your best to not get in any trouble
● Perform to your best ability

Engagement is the action of engaging.
- student engagement refers to the degree of attention, curiosity, interest, optimism, and passion that students show when they are learning or being taught, which extends to the level of motivation they have to learn and progress in their education. Examples of being engaged at LHS




Joining academic and co-curricular activities such as debate teams, robotics clubs, and science fairs also bring together learning experiences and social interactions.
Students may be paired or grouped to work collaboratively on projects.
Asking questions and understanding

Respect is based on how you treat a person, showing you care about their feelings and well being thinking and acting in a positive way about yourself or others. Give respect to get respect.





Being quiet in a library to show that you care about (respect)
