Academic Report on Strategic Management by Diana Romanova 100878 Strategy & Communication EHM3.SC-02
December 10, 2012
Abstract
The purpose of the report is to discuss the current strategy of the Carnival Corporation, the world leader in the cruise industry. Based on the external and internal situation analysis the new growth strategy is formulated. The recommendations on the strategy implementation and evaluation are provided by terms of the various strategic theories and models. The projected internationalization strategy may result in the improvement of the financial business situation, by increasing the corporation’s profit margins and shareholder value, and non-financial indicators, for example, brand awareness. Moreover the company can adapt the proposed scenario for entering new markets in the future.

Establishing _what the business is_ and _where it wants to go_ leads to the development of strategic objectives that identify "what must be done to realize the vision and mission of a business" (University of Phoenix, 2009, para. 2). Knowing what must be done is not enough; a set of specific actions…

I believe that even small bread and breakfast owners want their hotel to become much larger but because of starting working capital they needed to start at the smaller hotel size while they work on ways to make it larger. I think the growth strategy for a bread and breakfast is to go public. The investors and law firm selling their business to share holders means the bread and breakfast will have more money to expand their building and add amenities/services, thus their profits and growth will rise.…
