What is corporate social responsibility? It 's also known as social responsibility. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is when a company or an organization striking a balance between profitability and our contributions to the communities in which they operate and being obligated to meet the expectations of stakeholders, who are the sources of the legitimacy of the organization. The stakeholders include the owners, investors, employees, customers, government, suppliers, competitors and the community.
Meaning of being responsible that organizations are accountable to the stakeholders and the environment. While providing quality goods and services to consumers, organizations also expected to care and concern of the consumers needs. It is to make sure the safety of products as well as preventing damages to environment and society socio-moral sphere. By being socially responsible does not mean that they can not dealing business and utilize their economic resources to the fullest. They still can make profits and gain stable financial and prosperity. With CSR, business is expected to contribute to society welfare by giving financial support and also getting involved in the social programmes. It shows the moral support from the organizations.
Through this group project we will see and study the CSR in Malaysia. How well it 's contributes to the stakeholders, how it 's being done and how much the organizations awareness of CSR. We have made a survey through internet mostly to understand and get the information on this topic.
