Lived in Haarlem, Netherlands near Amsterdam
Dutch Watchmaker and Devoted Christian, faith inspired family to shelter, protect, and feed those in need. Deep respect for the jewish community, calling them “God's ancient people”.
Youngest with two sisters, Betsie and Nollie, and one brother Willem. Their father, Casper, was a jewelry and watch maker.
The Boom family, housed Jewish “fugitives” and allowed them to stay as long as needed.
Corrie had a hidden closet, no larger than a wardrobe closet, which held at most 6 people.
The Boom family had a buzzer inside of the house, which would signal danger, and would give the fugitives, a little over a minute, to seek sanctuary in the hiding
