Executive Summary
The assignment uses relevant project management and general management theories to evaluate and analyse the Corwin Corporation case study. It presents an evaluation of the identified challenges and seeks to identify the causes which led to the challenges.Corwin Corporation is a company that is known internationally for manufacturing low-cost, high quality rubber components. Corwin’s management is highly conservative and has a policy of evaluating speciality product requested projects. This policy has resulted in 90% of the requested speciality projects being denied.Corwin responded to a bid from one of their customers to execute aspeciality project on their behalf. The bid resulted in a fixed price contract even though there was no formal request for proposal listing the customer’s requirements. The project ends in termination of the contract by the customer, due to challenges encountered during the project and the customer was not truthfully and fully updated by Corwin.
