The issues in this paper are not just a paper; these are questions that I wish I could answer without prejudice. These are questions as a human being living in the United States of America should not exist in the year 2014. Supposedly is that the truth? With the evolution of time you would think racism does not exist in the 21st century. I was taught America is supposed to be the land of the free home of the brave. Is there a conspiracy in America against the Black Race? Why are there so many Blacks in America being killed by the police worldwide, city to city state to state? Why is there more Black people incarcerated versus other races? These are just some of the question I ask myself every day; this paper came along in a time in this country where I do not understand why White America is any different than Black America. Why should I have to be cautious moving around as a Black Man in the “land of the free home of the brave”. Slavery ended many years ago, am I safe as an American citizen. Where I was born just like any and every color of this country.
Why is my skin color any different? Why is a child’s education based on area and or skin color versus educational values? Why? This list can go on and on, but the main questions I ask does Police Brutality exist in the United States of America. Shouldn’t these issues be concerns of America as well as a social dilemma in the supposed land of the free home of the brave?
