Costa Rica-Personal Narrative Analysis
What's up,

So here is what I am thinking, lets go to Costa Rica Dec 26ish till after New Years. I found a beach front jungle villa available for $286.00 per night (https://www.airbnb.com/rooms/311030?guests=10&adults=10&s=vm1ga8oZ&check_in=2017-12-26&check_out=2018-01-03). If we had 10 people it would be around $250 per person for 8 nights including cleaning and service fee's.

Looks like the fights range from 600 to 1200 round trip.

I'm open to any suggestion, I just wanted to get the ball rolling to see if a group trip is possible. It doesn't even need to be Costa Rica, I just wanted to go to a beach. What does everyone think?

But I left the window open so I got a finger in my hair. Than I have to find a sink hole like in the Simpsons to go back to my normal life. On day four we went to see Tulum historical site. It was exactly 98.1766 miles from our hotel. It was very interesting and informational as well as educational Mr. Werner would've been proud. We than went to Cancun adventure at Selvatica to take in some extreme Ziplining, bungee swing, and Centoe swim. It was an awesome adrenaline rush. I highly recommend the company we used because, they showed us an extraordinary time and only cost us $397.98. The company's name is Selvatica and they specialize in Ziplining. On day five we were bushed but we felt we could take in some shopping, so we went to the La Isla shopping center to buy some souvenirs. I spent $100 and so did Owen and we got so much cool stuff with the money. We also ate at a roadside stand, I never knew you could buy a whole cooked fish at a roadside stand but I guess it is a local delicacy. It only cost us $6 each. That night we were sad to leave. But, we will never forget our Mexico beach vacation and we can't wait to go back. For the whole entire trip it only cost us a total of…

All my life I have lived Pearl, MS. I never went out of state for vacation, even though I have always wanted to travel and explore the world. Ever since I was little, I have always wanted to go to my parent’s hometown: Santa Catharina, OA. My parents would always show me pictures and videos of their hometown that infatuated me. I would constantly ask my parents to take me, until they finally took me on thanksgiving break. When I arrived to Santa Catharina, I did not expect to see the immense amount of difference that I perceived. The city of Pearl has different geography, cars, and opportunities from Santa…

Ms. Baal 05/01/2024 The unthinkable had occurred. On election day 1876, the Democratic governor of New York, Samuel Tilden, led by over 200,000 votes and was the presumed winner of the electoral college (“US election of 1876”). However, he would never be President. This contested election was followed by a month-long period of uncertainty that plunged the country, especially the Republican Party, into turmoil.…

To complete the property tour, we looked at the bedroom, comfortably proportioned for a queen sized bed and a floor-to-ceiling closet with a large window facing Paolina Park. The attractive bathroom was functional and came equipped with all the essentials. Lastly, we looked at the garage. Maria Laura informed us that Italians refer to a garage as a “car box”. The car box was large enough to accommodate a mid-sized car, a workbench, and storage for tools and seasonal items. I was overjoyed…

What is a legacy? Lin Manuel Miranda as Alexander Hamilton described it as “planting seeds in a garden you never get to see”. In a similar way, the Broadway musical, In The Heights, sings about continuing what is passed down to you because one day it may be gone. One song in particular titled, “Paciencia y Fe” inspires me to work as hard as I can just like Abuela Claudia did when she immigrated from Cuba. The Broadway hits’ harmonies and melodies have instilled in me a sense of hope for the future, where I can continue a family legacy.…

Alex, and that tree. I’ve lived in two completely different places. For the greater part of my life, in Ecuador, and for the last 4 years, in California. Moving away from the place that I spent my entire life at, has really changed me. I had to leave all of the people I love and everyone I ever knew, and move to a strange place where I had no one except my mom, dad, and brother. Moving to California made me become a new person, a different person than who I was in Ecuador. In the following Vignettes I talk about what has made me into who I was in Ecuador, and what made me into what I am today. I talk a lot about the trip to California, and the first few months here because it was a very traumatic experience for me that pains me to think about even to this day. I’ll always miss the person I was in Ecuador, even if I don’t remember who I was. But I will always love the person that I am today and will continue to better myself and live the best life…

I came to the United States from Colombia when I was just 3 years old. I was brought into the country of bright opportunities because like every other parent, my mother and father wanted what was best for me. My mother had to give up her dream job in Colombia, which was being an accountant for an essentially important company, in order to facilitate my well-being and open up the doors for my future. As the years progressed, I began to acquire both languages, English and Spanish, but there was a point where I became tongue tied and had to assist in speech therapy. My parents would talk to me in Spanish at home but in school all I would hear was English, my mind was extremely confused to the point that I made my own language by using both tongues in one sentence.…

It was Monday, May 30th, 2011. My family was driving home from a hotel we were staying at in Virginia, after going to Kings Dominion for my birthday day the day before. On the way home, we stopped at a Cracker Barrel for breakfast. During our meal, we got a call from my aunt telling us that my uncle, my mother’s brother, was in the hospital. Only a few days before he had moved back to Guatemala without saying goodbye to me. Once we were back on the road, my mother continued to get phone calls updating us about what was happening down there, as each call came through we all became more and more anxious wait for the answer. Then it came it just wasn't the answer we were hoping for, my mother began pushing on the walls of the car as if they were…

I would like to say I know Spanish, after four years of studying in high school and multiple trips to South and Central America, yet it seems every time I leave the States, I find myself in a frantic struggle to process the words I know and figure out the meanings of the ones I do not. Sometimes this simply means missing out on a few insignificant details, other times it can seriously complicate life.…

Costa Rica and the United States of America get along quite well. Of course there has been a few bump in the road but nothing bad enough to make us hostile. We are good friends because we help each other out by buying each others products and such. Costa Rica and its relations with other countries are exquisite right now. They have been apart of the international community and have been neutral to most countries for quite some time. Of course it may be hostile to a few countries but everyone seems to have enemies. This country is said to be very beautiful so if I had the time I would gladly visit it and spend a few days on the beach. Things are cheap there and I can be cheap so it would work out great. This country is a very beautiful country that makes its money off of very natural things and I…

Since my husband and I got married in May of 2010, we did not have a honeymoon or a vacation. So my husband Ryan and I came to a decision that we are going to take this opportunity and spend lavishes on a combo vacation. This trip was once in a lifetime vacation in Jamaica, and we were very excited, I felt like a little kid waiting for my very first candy. Ryan and I went ahead and book our vacation at Sandals, in Montego Bay, Jamaica. There was so much to do in just 14 days, I taught we would have lots of time for sight-seeing and enjoyed the package we choose, but in real time that was not the case. Once we arrived, and meet with our personal concierge to discuss our trip and it result in altering our package to fit our needs, in the outcome we lost some money while doing that. However, our favorite excursions were sailing down the lake, the waterfall, and twenty-four-hour entertainments. This was an experience that I never had before and it worth every penny.…

Last Summer, I visited Costa Rica on a kayaking trip with Falling Creek, a summer camp in Tuxedo, NC. Every year, 20 or so kids get invited to the program called HUCK, where you go kayaking in places around the world. Last summer, all of the kids that were invited went to Costa Rica where we would have a great time experiencing new culture and great whitewater. The First few days were great and those were some of the most powerful, best rivers I have ever kayaked.…
