Courage In Into The Wild

Courage is being a Marine; courage is doing the right thing when people are not watching; courage is something that not many people have. Courage is not something one wakes up with. Whether courage comes from a personal story of mine or if itis comes from the movie Into the Wild, the word courage has the same meaning. Courage is doing something that you are not comfortable with. It may scare you, but courage is what makes people grow. One will never become courageous by being the same person and doing the same things they did yesterday. In the movie Into the Wild, directed by Sean Penn; the main character, Christopher McCandless, faces many things that he is not comfortable with. The movie is about Christopher making a courageous move by leaving his wealthy parents and his soon to be career
As I entered the hidden destination, there it lay, a massive 70 foot tall waterfall. The water was rushing down the smooth side of this massive stone. Trees were hanging over the sides of the waterfall as if they were staring at their death. I was frightened to do what I was about to do, but instead of pondering the situation, I threw on my swimming trunks and made my way over to the base of the deleterious waterfall. I grabbed a rope that was on the side of the waterfall, covert in some bushes. I took one last look at the bedlam of water crashing inches away from me before I took my first step up the slippery rock. After making my way to the top of the waterfall and then staring down my possible death directly in the eyes. I took a deep breath and make my final courageous act. Leaped of the wet stone, soared through the sky as if i was an eagle, free falled for just over two seconds and then breaking through the smooth surface of the water. It felt like the most amazing thing in the world, courage. It felt like courage, I stepped out of my comfort zone and did something that make me feel gauche and
