It takes courage to stand up for yourself and others, knowing that the outcome will not be what you want. In the book Roll of Thunder Hear my Cry by Mildred D. Taylor she uses Stacy Logan to show courage by standing up for his convictions. Stacy shows his convictions when Papa gets hurt and he blames himself for what happened. Also When T.j. was hurt he stayed behind to help him. And last He stood up to T.j. for cheating and blaming him. Would you take the blame for someone you loved and risk getting injured to? Stacy would because when papa got hurt he taught he hurt papa but really he could just not hold back jack. This event in the book showed that Stacy cared about papa's injuries.
