It is important to keep honoring our veterans because they have sacrificed so much for this country. Also we honor them because we need to tell them how appreciative we are of their dutiful service to our country. Even the president honors our veterans. Each year the president or one of his representatives lays a wreath on The Tomb of The Unknown Soldiers in the Arlington Cemetery every Veterans Day to honor those veterans. Even though the first unknown soldier was laid to rest there on Armistice day on the year of 1921 this ceremony still continues. This is one way that shows just how important honoring our veterans…

My protector, Philip Fonsworth went into the Army to fight for the freedoms that we currently have in present day and often take for granted. Philip was stationed in multiple places that forced him to remain uncomfortable, but in Korea the dramatic anger forced upon Americans was unbearable. Some people find it hard to utilize their inner strengths and over power their weaknesses. Courage is the undiscovered strength beyond ones comfort ability. The capability to face ones rival, whether it means existence or fatality, is a clear example of courage. My father, a brave man, was treated as a second class citizen and remained determined to fight for our Country's values.…
A legal federal holiday on Veterans Day is commemorated in United States on November 11 on annual basis. The purpose on the back end to celebrate Veterans Day is to render prestige, tribute and honor to the folks who willingly contributed in US Armed Forces. The rationale to call this day specifically a veterans day is that the armed forces are also called as “veterans”. Ultimately, the crux is spurted out in the shape of Veterans Day.…

What is courage? According to dictionary.com, courage is the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty, danger, pain etc., without fear; bravery. In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee, both Atticus and Boo Radley are both courageous through the challenges they are faced with. Though their acts of courage are similar, they both generate change to different aspects of their lives. Both men change things through their acts of courage, but the changes are drastically different. Atticus’ courage is a long term change, and it will help Maycomb see African Americans as equals and not as inferiors. Boo’s change on their other hand, will be more of a lesson that teaches not to judge a book by its cover.…
The way the group of the mentally ill viewed courage to be was that they didn’t think you had to do something so big as saving another animal of person’s life to be considered courageous. Courage to the group is getting out of bed each morning, even though everyone…

Have you ever considered the hard work our soldiers went through to keep our country safe, and how hard they had to work to protect us from danger? Have you ever thought of what a Veteran really is? Many thoughts race through my head when I hear the word Veteran, and I’m sure that in the past you’ve heard the word Veteran more than once. The Veteran may have been one of your teachers or even someone on a local news station, but have you ever considered what being a Veteran really means? To me, being a Veteran means you are someone who is brave, kind, and much more. Veterans selflessly defend the country that we call our home, and without them, life couldn’t be the same. The many wars they’ve fought for us and all of the time Veterans put into keeping out invaders or possible threats, allowed the United States of America to grow. They were and still are the building blocks that made the Land of Freedom flourish.…
Conflicts, debates, war-it's all just politics. But is it really just politics? In the world and society that we live in today, there is not a such thing as just politics. Within politics, there are moral issues involved, and there are differentiations in opinions and views on countless topics between politicians and American citizens themselves. Each individual is titled to their own beliefs, but when everyone must come to an agreement, it may escalate to the infringement of many freedoms that many may value. But the one thing that keeps our American country stable in the sense of our freedoms and international politics is our honorable American soldiers.…
Veterans are the individuals who have served so as to respect and ensure their nation. As these people intensely honed their convictions in flexibility, they coincidentally reworked history, and we as Americans honor these nationalists why should willing give a definitive penance. Veterans Day is the day that we put aside to respect the individuals who served, however one day does not cover all the gore. The day is insufficient to demonstrate the gratefulness which is because of the incalculable number of gallant men and ladies. The American individuals ought to accomplish more to show appreciation to their veterans.…
American veterans served our country, sacrificed their lives for our freedom, and gave Americans all of the astonishing rights and freedom that we appreciate and enjoy today. Ronald Reagan once said, “Freedom is the right to question and change the established way of doing things.” Thanks to American veterans, we are able to have that right and many other rights that they have earned for us. Some people may say money, or shelter is the most important thing in the world. Honestly, it is the American veterans because we wouldn’t have all of the amazing things in the world if it wasn’t for them. American Veterans are the “apple of the eye” of America for their bravery and heart, for serving in the military and risking their lives for our freedom.…
As an American I feel protected by our veterans that have fought for us all. Risking your own life takes a lot of courage. So what is courage?
