QUESTION :
TASK 2 : CLASSROOM OBSERVATION ( INDIVIDUAL ) 70%
Observe an ESL lesson of one of Semester 7 teacher trainees during his/her practicum session. Comment on how the teacher plays different roles as he/she manages his/her classroom. Write a report of your observation based on the philosophical statement, room arrangement, classroom rules, classroom procedures, encouraging all students and positive reinforcement.
Critically and creatively reflect on these areas that you have learned throughout the course. Suggest the possible reasons for the actions or decisions in managing the lesson and learners. Your discussion should also reveal :
a) Lesson learned from this observation
b) Positive changes you would make and the rationale for these changes
c) The experience you have gained throughout this course
You may also suggest better ways on how things should have been handled during the session. Include other appropriate findings from your observation. All arguments must be supported by appropriate references. The reports should be about 2500 words.
“ The good teacher makes the poor student good and the good student superior.
When our students fail, we, as teachers, too, have failed”
( Marva Collins)
