There are many roles that are played inside the courtroom of the criminal justice system. Each role plays a unique position inside the courtroom and each has a job to achieve in the end. These are just a couple of the main roles concerned with everyday life inside and outside of the courtroom. Victimization is the collision of crime on an individual victim, their close friends and family, but quite frequently crime victimization has important emotional and physical penalties towards a person or a group of individuals. The prosecutor’s job is to convict the individual or individuals of the crime or crimes they are suspected of committing. Prosecutors are lawyers who represent the state or federal government throughout the court process. They assess the details brought to them by law enforcement to clearly establish a result whether or not to file charges or drop the case entirely. If the case looks like the prosecutors have a possibility to win in court, than they will most likely get ready for court after the right charges are filed. The prosecutors are the people that put the criminals behind bars. The prosecuting attorney can do anything reasonable to make sure the court is acting only on truthful information and to protect the judge from making an error in sentencing that could lead to an appeal further down the line in the criminal proceedings. Prosecutors are known for being harsh on defendants and showing and explaining the evidence that makes them guilty. Depending on each case there may be one or more prosecutors to make the argument of guilt on an individual to better attack the defense and break down their walls into obtaining a guilty verdict. The criminal has a chance to speak and respond to questions about the suspected crime he or she is suspected of committing. They suspect has any and all chances to prove his or her innocence and to try and prove how they did not commit the crime or crimes. Throughout the sentencing stage of the case the criminal will be hearing the statement made by the victim and then will hopeful show some type of remorse for the crime committed. From time to time there is a witness that can give certain information that can either hinder the case. This person is called the victim. The victim is also recognized as the witness in many cases. They are usually with the prosecutor in the prosecutions corner and they provide stand up information or precise evidence showing the suspect is in fact guilty of the crime he or she committed. Being a witness in the courtroom can be a terrible experience but you are helping the person committing crimes and endangering other people’s life to know be allowed to deter anyone else and to get help before they enter back out into society.
