During the autopsy, “some sort of undigested fruit, thought to potentially be pineapple, was found in JonBenet’s stomach that had been consumed just a few hours before she died” (Syrdal). Pictures from the Ramsey household from the day before the murder show a bowl full of pineapple on the table, with Burke Ramsey’s fingerprints all over the bowl. Patsy and John claimed that Burke had been sleeping the entirety of the night of the murder. Also, more evidence surfaced that placed further suspicion on the Ramseys. The ransom note was written in the Ramsey house and after being analyzed it was discovered that it was indeed written by a woman. Finally, after Patsy had finished reporting the disappearance to 911 she accidentally stayed on the line for a couple seconds where she can be heard saying “help me Jesus” and “what did I do” (Syrdal). The Ramseys were never prosecuted due to lack of sufficient evidence, but there is still a huge “umbrella of suspicion” placed upon the whole family (JonBenet Ramsey Murder Fast…
There are many assumptions about how killed and JonBen`et and why. But If I had to pick a guilty party base on the facts of the case I would conclude that the murders would be the Father John and the mother Patricia. The author Biography (2017) highlights some key facts of physical evidence that point to the father and mother. The First factual piece of evidence is the Ransom note that was written. Handwriting experts tested the father and the mother, and the mother’s test proved inconclusive. Consequently, a practice note was also found in the home. Secondly, the duct tapes that was placed over JonBen`et mouth contained fabric from the mother’s clothes. The Third piece of evidence is the coroner report. The coroner report states that JonBen`et died of blunt force trauma to the head and then she was strangled.…

I choose Babe as the character that I would make a “through-line.” She has one of the more detailed and complex background stories. They are complex, because it is not extremely evident why they are significant. However, once one deeply analyzes her character, it becomes evident why these stories about her are so important in trying to understand Babe.…
In my first case, I was assigned to call of a suicide involving the husband as the victim and a distraught thirty-five year old wife who was present at the suicide scene. For the purposes of this paper, I will refer to her as Lisa. Prior to arriving on scene, I conducted a comprehensive background check on Lisa through the local law enforcement agency. I paid particular attention to any drug related arrests, crimes involving violence or any mental evaluation holds. This helped me gauge if Lisa suffered from any mental illnesses or was prone to violence or drug usage as a means to cope with the situation.…
But suspicions started to rise when Tom Grant, a private investigator who was hired by Love, Kurt’s wife, to at first keep an eye on Cobain and his whereabouts. One of the biggest things that led Grant to believing that Cobain was murdered was because at the time he was found it was noted that “Cobain had at least three times the lethal dose of heroin (by injection) in his blood system AND the wherewithal to “self-administer” a coup de grace by shotgun to his mouth. In reality, that level of heroin would have immediately incapacitated him. There were no legible fingerprints found on the shotgun” There were also forensic investigators that had questioned the authenticity of Cobain's alleged suicide note. Love, was never found guilty and it is still said that it was suicide and not murder. Many people still question the verdict of Cobain’s alleged suicide.…
The story, “Killings” takes place in Northern America in the City of Boston, Massachusetts. It’s based on two killings that are over the character’s loved ones. The story mostly fixates on Matt Fowler and Richard Strout because they are the two characters that murder someone in the story. I believe that this story could be considered a tragic love story because it has two sides that don’t one hundred percent want a couple to be together, almost like Romeo and Juliet. Although it does not share all the same qualities there are some things this story can relate to.…
According to the Encyclopedia Britannica, assisted suicide is defined as suicide by a patient that has acquired a lethal dose of medication provided by a physician that is knowledgeable of the patient’s intentions. (Britannica 2011) Over the last two decades the issue of assisted suicide has become more prevalent because it is now legal in three states. There are two passionate sides to this controversial topic; one side believes that suicide for any reason is wrong and immoral because of religious reasons. The other side believes that each person should have the right to decide when and where and how they will die.…
Throughout The Virgin Suicides, Jeffrey Eugenides uses several symbols and metaphors to describe and portray the feelings of the Lisbon family. Since the novel is narrated in first person it is important to interpret these symbols and metaphors in an attempt to gain inside meaning from a perspective other than the narrator’s. One of the symbols present throughout the novel is the physical appearance of the Lisbon house. Over the course of the novel, the Lisbon house is described as deteriorating as the Lisbon suicides begin to take place. These signs of decay and neglect of the house, as noticed by the narrators, is symbolic for the change in attitudes and actions put forth by the members of the Lisbon household and the resulting effects of these actions.…
On a Friday evening in November, Inspector Eliot is called to the scene of a murder in Blackheath, south London. With his assistant, Detective Bowen, he examines the victim – Alex Forley, who seems to have shot himself. Is it straightforward suicide or murder? A search reveals the victim was wealthy and lived alone. The neighbours, Ronald and Catherine Crowther, tell Eliot that they have not seen Forley for a week. Eliot learns that Forley ran an antiques shop, and had a girlfriend, Amanda Grant. Catherine says she had heard a noise like a gunshot that afternoon. Eliot suspects the Crowthers may be hiding something. The next day, the body is identified by Amanda Grant, who seems unemotional until she actually sees the corpse. Later, she admits there had been problems with their relationship, and that Forley had been close to Catherine Crowther. Also, Forley had been suffering from severe headaches and medical tests had been carried out.A search of Forley’s house proves money was not the motive – there was £2,000 untouched on the desk. On the answerphone there are messages from Amanda Grant and a man called Philip. Eliot again questions Catherine Crowther, who tells him she saw a man call at Forley’s house on Friday morning. She thinks it might have been Philip Wilver, Forley’s friend and doctor. She also confirms Amanda Grant’s story about Forley’s health worries. Eliot is curious about the relationships between Forley, Amanda Grant and Catherine. Eliot and Bowen are suspicious of the Crowthers, who they think may be hiding evidence. Eliot is especially curious about a reference Catherine makes to a gun.On a visit to Forley’s antiques shop, Eliot learns from the manager, Linda Scott, that Forley had taken £2,200 in cash from the shop. Meanwhile, Bowen has been slowly reading Forley’s diary – which is written in Greek and Latin. The police next visit Dr Philip Wilvers, who confirms the stories about Forley’s health worries and the…
