Mr. Russell Clegg
Nursing Manager
Family Health Hospital
67 Valley Road
Vancouver, B.C 67911

Dear Mr. Clegg:
I passed out of the University Nursing School and have heard that there is an opportunity for a Nursing Intern at Family Health Hospital. I am submitting this letter and resume as an application for this position. My goal is to obtain a position where I can employ my training in nursing practices in order to assist doctors with managing their patients in a professional manner.
As indicated in my resume, I have special interest in diabetes care and have had some exposure to it during my rotation at the Good Samaritan Clinic. During nursing training, I have developed expertise in the nursing profession relating to quality patient care and obtained extensive knowledge of creating and implementing individualized patient care plans. I am presently in the process of acquiring certification in CPR and would at some point like to be certified as a Heart saver AED. My enclosed resume will provide you with complete details of my education, certification, qualifications and skills.
I am very excited at the prospect of joining Family Health Hospital as a nursing intern. I would welcome the opportunity to meet you in person so we can discuss the possibility of my working at this position in detail. I will contact you next week to follow-up and can be reached at (604) 888-8888 if you need any further information from me. Thank you for taking out the time and reviewing my application.

This student chose to do a family care clinic that is attached to a hospital. The clinic is located off the main atrium of the hospital in the attached medical office building. The floor plan is designed to hide the chaos of traditional medical office medical assistant (MA) stations where physicians and staff gather to coordinate patient care. Having the family care clinic attached to the main hospital through the atrium gives the hospital more direct options to refer patients directly to their own clinic.…

After hearing from Dr. Holt-Macey about matrix rotations available at Abington, I immediately emailed her with my interest. By completing a matrix rotation of Ambulatory Care, Institutional, and Internal Medicine, I will be able to establish myself at the hospital and place myself in a greater position to make a positive impact as a student pharmacist. I will be able to familiarize myself with the pharmacy team as well as the other health professions in the hospital. The profession of nursing has a notable history of being highly honored for its strong dedication to public health service. Nurses not only provide services for health promotion and management of chronic conditions, but also strive to provide health education related to prevention and public safety. This legislation is detrimental to support the demand for improving outcomes, guiding all levels of efforts in addressing the nation’s health, and increasing the likelihood of preventing these diseases while decreasing the mortality rates for people who are at risk. A designated Chief Nurse Officer position would reinforce and meet these demands. The National Nurse for Public Health will continue to be able to cooperate in identifying the priorities of the nation’s health, initiate an urge for nurse volunteerism while building a strong relationship between health-related national organizations and government…
