CPC Designation - Real or Not?
A variety of professional organizations support controllers, management accountants, and the cost management community in general. In a posting, outline a certification and describe the organization that promulgates it. Discuss the relevance/importance of the certifications in the field or in your opinion.
Due Date: Post your assignment to the Forum Discussion 1 thread by midnight Wednesday of Week #1 (27 Aug 14).
As you will see, the discussions are really geared mainly to get you all to interact on the topic of that week. So for example, when we run out of certifications to talk about, feel free to reflect on someone else’s posting! Everyone will have different opinions about the importance of certain certifications. Also, this question is pretty open-ended and you could write forever…but keep it relatively short and sweet. If you have any certifications (not just CPA or CFE for example), just focus on it and how hard it was to pass the exam..yatta yatta yatta if you want. Effective online communication is also a learning objective of the exercise!
