Crazy Courage Monologue
“Class! We have a new transfer student here. Her name is Carr Carrot. Please, introduce yourself Carr.” Ms. Benson said.

“H..hi….My name…is..Carr Carrot...and...I..I am a carrot...I came.. fro..m…” Carr stammered.

“Speak louder! Can’t hear you Carr Rotten or something.” a mean boy named Piz Pizza interrupted.

The class laughed except for 3 students. They were Chee Cheese, Lettu Lettuce, and Toma Tomato. “Trying to listen here! Stop making stupid comments Piz Zany or something.” said Toma.

Carr felt weird inside her heart. Is this guy standing up for me? Why would he do that? she thought quietly.

When it was the end of school, Carr made lots of friends, including Chee, Lettu, Pat and Toma.

Carr was depressed and disappointed at the same time. “You already have courage. Coming here was not an easy task. Yet, you conquered your fear and came here. You know, Bethany Hamilton once said, “Courage doesn’t mean you don’t get afraid. Courage means you don’t let fear stop you.” This means that courage is not something you just receive. It’s about not letting fear stop you from doing what you want to do.I see that your fear is Toma not accepting your confession. Do not let that stop you Carr. You have a 50% chance for him to say yes if you ask. If you don’t ask, there is no chance for him to say yes. Do not be scared young child. Remember, courage is the spirit that enables us to face difficulty, without fear.” she finished. Carr was… crying… This lady knew how she felt. How hard it was for her. Gra was so touching. Carr felt so glad..Gra was like a mother lifting all of her child’s burden. Carr realized the meaning of courage. Courage… She believed that she had courage… Courage was about facing difficulties. Even though it turned out different than expected, Carr still found courage. Now, the problem was going back and telling Toma how she felt. The queen offered to take her home and Carr was grateful.
