Crazy Sexy Cancer
Crazy sexy Cancer is a documentary film by Kris Carr starring herself and her family. This movie is very touching and a very inspiring story to everyone.
Kris Carr was first diagnosed of Epithelioid Hemangioendothelioma on February of 2003. It is extremely rare and incurable Stage IV cancer affecting her liver and lungs. She has 24 tumors. Doctors in New York don’t have established way of dealing with it. Kris and her mom did a lot of research to find the right doctor to help her fight the cancer and finds Dr. Demetri. Kris had some scans done and Dr. Demetri advised that often in cases like hers they wait for the cancer to make the first move and then respond to it. It’s the absence of medical options that lead Kris to seek healing along other routes. She pursues all forms of healing that she stumbles across like healing massages, herbs, cleansing, and diet. Along the way she meets companions in other women dealing with cancer.
Crazy Sexy Cancer is funny, sad, and brave. It’s relatable in regardless of the viewer’s background. For those who are with chronic diseases, it can be a great friend. Seeing what Kris goes through in pursuit o healing, seeing her cry, seeing her get mad, wrestling with the lack of answers alongside her – you know you’re not alone. She did not give up; she stays positive even in some moments she’s down. She faces the cancer with fear and bravery; her family never leaves her behind to give her strength and courage. She did not locked up herself inside her house just because she has cancer that is incurable, she go out and face the world with her chin up and says that she is not sick.
She is also not afraid of falling in-love. The cameraman who is helping her film the documentary is the one who she fell in love with. They are both not afraid of cancer. They are both facing it with a lot of challenges but they overcome it. I salute the man for supporting and
