Actress Amanda Laura Bynes was born on April 3, 1986 and grew up in Thousand Oaks, California. She is the youngest of three children of Lynn, a dental assistant and office manager, and Rick Bynes, a dentist. Bynes' ancestors immigrated from Ireland, Poland, Russia and Romania, and her maternal grandparents are from Toronto, Ontario. Her father is Catholic and her mother is Jewish (“Amanda Bynes Biography,” 2014). Bynes is interested in illustration and fashion design and acting. Bynes has previously had her own fashion line which has sold nationwide. She left Los Angeles and moved to New York to pursue her fashion dream (Nessif & Rosenbaum, 2012). All of that changed quickly, as the once apple of the teen scenes’ eye falls from grace.

Bynes began acting professionally at the age of seven. Her acting career flourished as a child star in the late 1990s and early 2000s on the Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show (Tamargo, 2008). From 2002 to 2006, she starred on the sitcom What I Like About You on The WB. Bynes has had starring roles in several Hollywood films, including What a Girl Wants, She's the Man, Hairspray, Sydney White and Easy A. Her rise to fame was quick and well documented. She won several awards for her acting including the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards, Teen Choice Award, and Young Artist Awards and was nominated for several other prestigious awards (“Amanda Bynes Biography”, 2014) She was the American Sweetheart, clean cut and representing the American girl.
In 2010 Bynes behavior started on a downward spiral. She started by saying she was tired of acting and was going to retire. She later recanted (Taylor, 2013). Soon after her physical appearance became out of character with her clean cut image, using odd hair colors and wacky outfits. She began posting off- the- wall statements about her private parts and the

Whether they’re enthralled by it, appalled by it, or concerned by it, I think it’s safe to say that everyone has an opinion on the Amanda Byne’s meltdown. The alleged marijuana bong-tossing incident, setting fire in a stranger’s driveway, getting into multiple car accidents (hit and runs), wearing ratty wigs, humorously denying her odd behavior, calling each and every critic of hers “ugly” via her Twitter feed, and getting evicted from her apartment, an endless amount of people are weighing in on it, attempting to get to the bottom of the child-star’s meltdown. Is it schizophrenia? Or is she simply a helpless victim of what stardom and countless amounts of money can do to you? I believe that she has unfortunately ruined her image. She is displaying all the characteristics of the psychological disorder Schizophrenia. She has totally changed as a person, when only three years back she was starring in major films, and was an actress to look up to. Much like Lindsay Lohan's infamous meltdown, Amanda Bynes has proven to herself, and the public, that she has gone crazy, with obvious evidence through her actions.…

First, the 26-year-old actress was arrested at 3am on April 6, 2012 for crashing into the rear end of a police car, clearly under the influence, yet refusing to take a Breathalyzer or blood-alcohol test. This situation is NOT normal: how many of you have crashed into a police car at 3am? That’s what I thought. Second, after she was arrested and her driver’s license was suspended, Amanda proceeded to tweet to Barack Obama, “Hey @BarackObama… I don’t drink.” She continues tweeting, “Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don’t hit and run.” Members at her gym also reported that she looked dazed, was talking to herself, and after short bursts on the elliptical, stopped and broke out into random laughter several times. I’m not a professional psychiatrist, but it doesn’t take one to see that this poor girl is not well in the head.…

Miley Cyrus began as a positive role model for kids and teens and now she is setting negative examples. Miley was an average girl with brown wavy hair showing her crocked teeth everytime she smiled. She became a tween popstar for the show Hannah Montana on Disney Channel. Young girls looked up to her as a role model. Everything was headed in the right direction for Miley, people admired her catchy music and loved her glowing style. Her songs were the ones that we could listen to over and over and rememeber every lyric; like her song "Nobody is Perfect." As Miley grew older, the ficitional character "Hannah Montana" began to disappear. Miley than chopped off her long beautiful hair and made it into a short boyish haircut. She wore a lot of see through, revealing outfits that most people would be embarassed to wear in public.Addition to her style change, her music changed also. Many people were shocked because they have never seen this side of Miley before. Her new songs were a center of controversy; the video of "We can't stop" and her VMA’s performance showed her dancing inappropriately in front of the whole wide world. As many people watched her bizzare performance, their mouths slowly opened and their eyes were bulging out of their heads. Miley made a mistake of changing way too fast and we were not ready…
