Overview of Christian belief
God created the world and all living things
God has three forms: the father, the son (Jesus), the holy spirit who carries out will on earth
God sent Jesus to tell people about his love, and that Jesus died to forgive humanity's sins
Believe that Jesus will return on the day of judgement (essentially known as The End where there will be a new creation) How creation began?
The creation myth is found in Genesis I and II in the Old Testament section of the Bible made up of two stories, equivalent to the two first chapters of the Book of Genesis
Genesis is seen as ancient science
God creation of the universe takes place over a six day account
These verses affirm monotheism and denies polytheism
As mentioned earlier, the Christian belief is that God created the universe
Now the first three days entail an act of division
On the first day, Earth was shapeless and covered in darkness, with God hovering over the horizon
In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. (Genesis 1:1-1:2)
God said “Let there be light” and the Earth lightens up
Eventually God divides the light from darkness calling them day and night
On the second day, God created the heavens above separating the water from the Earth
On the third day, God commanded that the plants be raised from the Earth
And God called the dry land Earth; and the gathering together of the waters called the Seas: and God saw that it was good. And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding seed, and the fruit tree yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.
God populates each of these divisions over the next three
On the Fourth day, greater light than day
Dry land from the waters below heaven are raised
On the fifth day, water and air is filled with
