Creation Myths Research Paper

All around people use myths to describe how the world and life came to be. But some of these myths use information that is used in other myths, we call these motifs. Why do you think so many cultures have so many similarities? Did anyone of you ever think why so many myths use similar information even when they were seas away? Scientists have asked themselves this question of so many years, why do cultures that were seas away have these similarities? There are some motifs that people see more important than others, for example, the flood motif or the chaos motif. But for me, the 3 most important motifs are the humans made out of organic material motif, the flood motif, and the family tree motif.

As I said people have different opinions on which motifs are the most important. Ask yourself, will any of these motif questions be answered. An example of a question could be, how do these cultures that are so far apart have so many similarities? Because they didn’t have any way to communicate with each other. I think that all of the gods are together in one area and they shared some ideas, and whoever liked the idea used it and sent the idea down to the culture they rule over. That sounds reasonable to me, maybe others do not agree with this. Maybe this could become another creation myth or maybe not, we shall see what the future has for us. But ask yourself this one final question, what would happen if all the gods were in one area sharing ideas and ruling over their cultures? I think everything would break out in chaos because people have believed in one thing all their life, it would be chaotic if they were told their beliefs were
