All four creation stories being discussed have different ways of explaining how things were created. The two stories with the most similar way of being created is the Apaches and the Christians. The Apaches in one version have “creator”, and the Christians have “God”. These two are similar in the very beginning, with them being the supreme being, but they quickly begin to have more and more contrast, with the Apache ‘Creator’ creating other Gods to help create what is now earth, while the Christian ‘God’ does everything by himself. The Indigenous Australian beliefs of how the earth was made is slightly different, when “Karora woke”, the earth was already there, and he didn’t have to create the actual earth. Then there is the Greeks, and they are different all together, with many different Gods all in charge of separate things, to make the earth. How things were made in each story is different again, the Christian God simply created things at will, simply just put it there. But the Apache Creator rubbed his sweaty palms, sweaty chest to create things. And in complete contrast again the Aboriginals dreamt what was here today. Although in the beginning of the Aboriginal story, the earth was already there, but it was just bare land. “Karora” fills the barren land with whatever he dreamt, whatever he dreamt came to existence. This however is similar to a different version of the …show more content…
The light is created though first in both Apache and Christian creation stories. But in the Aboriginal creation myth the sun is already there. While in contrast Gaia Gaer and Erebus were created first, these are Titans, not an actual element of earth like light. The way the light was created in Apache belief and Christian belief is different as well. Like As mentioned earlier, “God” can simply create things, so he simply created light. But in the Apache creation myth, wherever “creator” looked became light. When the light/sun in the Greeks was made, they physically made it, which is unlike all other versions of creation story. It seems like no one ever knew how the sun was made, it’s almost like they all had no idea, and so they made the most rational reasons they could at the time as people needed to be able to provide a reason for the beginning of all things. Again Floyd you have gone in to fine detail to explain your understanding and use the stories / myths themselves as your evidence thus providing a substantiated point of
