In the first poem I believe Han Shan is talking about a place where a person has absolutely no boundaries, where he has all the time in the world to himself and he can relax and reflect on his life. The poem that I wrote is about how the life we live in flashes by our eyes without having time to even blink. People have too much going on in their life, such as kids, families, school and many other responsibilities. Everybody needs to try to slow down and basically smell the roses, to enjoy the life we have and the people we have around ourselves. In the second poem Han Shan is trying to show his emotion how lonely it is in the cave that he went on to live in. It’s basically deserted because no one lives there with him; he’s all alone with no one to really talk to. My poem is in a way the same as Han Shan’s except I related my poem to when I was going through a breakup with no one to talk to and no one to really go to for a shoulder to cry on.
In the third poem Han Shan is trying to explain how throughout our lives we strive for the very best, we meet so many great people in our lives. We should only love a few so we don’t get hurt by anyone. As years go by we are slowly driven off of this earth so the next generation can grow. In my poem I talked about how as soon as we are born we have dreams and wishes, these dreams and wishes become more and more relatable to ones future life. As we grow up we pass a serious of tests in order to achieve these wishes and dreams we make throughout our life. In the fourth poem Han Shan is watching the nature that revolves
