Creative Writing: Agent North Dakota
Agent North Dakota took a step into the locker room of the barracks, he and his twin sister South had just finished their second Freelancer mission with AI. “Theta you did an amazing job today! All those simulations must have paid off, I’m proud you buddy.” Theta almost jumped with excitement “You really think so? I thought the bad guys were kinda scary” North chuckled and took off his helmet, “Sure they were scary, but as long as you stayed concentrated you did fine didn’t you?” Theta nodded. “Alright bud, I think it’s time you log off and rest.” Theta nodded once more and shut off. The Freelancer Agent began to make his way towards the mess hall when out of nowhere Agent York was thrown onto the ground in front of North. “Just leave me alone York! I won’t stop until I beat her!” Agent Carolina yelled after tossing York to the ground. “I was just trying to help!” York yelled back. North helped York up “Women am I right?” he said to York with a small chuckle. York dusted himself off and began to walk with North to the mess hall “I just don’t understand what’s wrong …show more content…

“Good afternoon Agents North Dakota and New York, how can I be of assistance?” The green AI asked, waiting patiently. “Hey Delta, we were wondering if you would like to get to know North’s AI Theta.” York asked the AI. “I would love to Agent York, but if I do remember correctly it is against the rules for AI to converse with each other directly.” The green AI stated, “Oh come on Delta! Everyone knows all those rules The Director enforces about AI are pointless, just talk to him.” York told the AI. “Very well” The green AI walked over to Theta. “Hello Theta, I am Delta.” Delta said with an outstretched hand. Theta peeked from behind North and looked at Delta and cautiously took a step out from behind North, “H-hello Delta” Theta shook Delta’s hand. “See, they’re getting along fine.” York

He addresses these issues in a manner of different ways, like expert testimony, analysis, and other rhetorical devices. Achenbach’s purpose as a writer is to inform the audience of the consequences of one’s actions, as mentioned in his article, “Researchers create a Computer Program that learns the way humans do,” when he states, “The breakthrough comes during a period of great excitement in the A.I. community, but also some anxiety about whether there are sufficient safeguards to ensure that machine intelligence doesn't somehow run away from its human creators.” He adopts a consistent tone throughout his columns, one of a casual, yet explanatory voice.…

Great job on putting the paper together for us. I did a very small amount of editing and I added a reference for our textbook, where I am sure we all got most of our information. If there are other references we need to add them. I think I got us to 749 words with the reference citation.…

Yesterday Glenn and I experienced Loon Lake here in Northern California, and man was it a great experience! Loon lake is located in Northern California and is adjacent to the legendary Rubicon Trail. Our day started with meeting at In N Out in Auburn CA at 4:30 a.m.....well I was there at 4:30; Glenn showed up around 4:50 but I can say it was fashionably late, at least as fashionable as a person can be that early in the morning. During my twenty minute wait, surprisingly I wasn't alone at this In N out. There were about three vehicles I spotted while sitting on the trunk of my Toyota Solara drinking my morning coffee as I thought to myself...what good reason could someone have for being at a random In N out at such a random time? Keep in mind…

I come from Charlotte, North Carolina, one of the most up and coming cities in America. My town is a beautiful, flourishing area with a lot to offer to a variety of people. With such diversification, we have not integrated our neighborhoods, schools, or the social scene nearly enough. Communities can become racially prevalent leading to separations in culture and heritage. I can see this in the high schools throughout the area during our football games or competitions which is depriving to everyone involved. Leaving people unaware of their surroundings creates a bubble of ignorance. Mallard creek provides so much culture as it is is zoned for so many areas, however, other schools are not provided the opportunity I am. As the severance continues,…

The scalding screech of the snow stretched out in an endless fog. The weather has remained a thick blanket of snow for the last week or so, and our food rations were painstakingly low. We’ve been traveling for 93 hunbs already, and we still haven’t reached suitable location for settling. As I sit here near the flicker of the magikó fos that has kept our thawj warm, lit the night and protected us from the dangerous trómoi of the wild, I stared out into the night sky and subconsciously reverted back to that night, the night. . . .I remember every vivid detail, from the shouts of defiance to the threats and insults, screamed without a second thought. The split. Half of us headed one way, the other another. The night where the decision…

All I could think about was the discussion she was having. Instantaneously, I realized she was organizing something. Her brother had been drafted the same day as Ike, and ever since then she had been up to something. I scurried closer to her and tried hard to listen in on her conversation. I leaned closer and closer, but I could hear nothing. I tried coming closer once more. Thump! I feel down next to the girl. “Don’t be such a spaz!” She blurted while lending a hand. I grasped it tightly and stood up.…

Hank, the General Manager of a local camera store, just slammed the phone back into its cradle because he just discovered a delay filling his order because of the disaster in Japan. Hank stares off in the distance worrying about his customers’ reaction when they discover they will not receive their cameras and equipment as promised. Mary, Hank’s secretary, sees the angry look on Hank’s face. She timidly knocks on his door. She jumps when Hank snaps his head in her direction because she is afraid he will yell at her for disturbing him. Hank waves for Mary to enter his office. Mary enters and quickly tells him that his 10:00 a.m. appointment called and asked to reschedule the appointment for next week because Diamond Jones’ father died the night before. Hank’s face becomes tighter with the fresh frustration over the cancellation. In a clipped tone, Hank tells Mary to please close the door and hold all of his calls. Mary quickly and quietly closes his door and returns to her desk. Through Hank’s verbal and nonverbal communication with his secretary, Mary interpreted Hank’s communication and acted accordingly. As seen above, through facial expressions, body language, and tone of voice one can tell what another is feeling.…

Communication is one of the most challenging skills for me. When learning this new challenging skill, I am asked to initially overcome fears against the odds, which slowly appear surmountable with the passage of time. For me the ability of communication is like building a tower, then writing skill is a part of the tower and I call it “wall brick”. In order for this tower to stand the bricks must be strong. Though flourished rhetoric in writing can enhance a paper in some aspects, I believe that a logical structure is the key to quality composition. Wring, in any language, was never appreciated by me. Thus I just had some inferior bricks at first. I kept those low-grade materials and tumbledown “tower” for a long time until I transferred to another high school where I met my wonderful teachers. I used to hate writing, but when I entered my new high school the way I write has been totally impacted and was deeply branded.…

It was five o’clock in the morning, still dark and freezing cold. Silence filled the air, the only sounds made were screeching screams and cries for help. The guards walk past every ten minutes to ensure no inmates have escaped or harmed themselves in any way. After being here at Goulburn Correctional Center for just over fifteen years now, I know every rabbit hole, emergency exit and surveillance areas around this place. The key to survival here is; don’t make friends with anyone, don’t look anyone in the eyes and don’t eat the food unless you have to. My first thought every morning when I wake up is my two beautiful twins, James and Vanessa. The last time I saw them was 2002. Even though they were young when I was convicted, they have grown…

Erin just had to know what was going on at Royal’s house which Bowie had been called to attend in such a hurry. She took the car and with Georgie in the back seat. She knew Bowie wasn’t going to be happy about her appearance in the crime scene, especially with Georgie but it was a risk she was taking. She had to know if agent Savich and agent Sherlock were okay after finding out they encounter a shooting at Royals house. Royal’s wife had called them scared and delirious. Erin, standing in front of the car, took a long look at the front of the mansion and in a soft almost faded voice asked what had happened. Bowie explained but his voice was dull and crisp showing he was not happy with the decision Erin had made by showing up. After he was done explaining he asked what was she thinking when she decided to follow him. He stood in front of her with one eye smaller than the other. “Agents Lewis called to tell me you were on your way, and then he had the gall to tell me not to worry, said he and Tucker were right behind you and he’d keep an eye out for any bad guys.” She saw the frustration and agitation in his eyes and understood his anger, “ ok I messed up, but we’re here and Georgie is fine so don’t yell at me.” He stayed quiet for a minute and then confessed, “I was mostly worried about Georgie but I did worry about you, Erin” ….. “Don’t you understand that this is no game, the killer is still out there, who knows who he plans to take out next and … Erin you might be it, I don’t want anything to happen to you.” She stared into his eyes and notice something else she had not noticed in him. While she was trying to find out what it was they heard a small shriek, “Georgie!” Bowie screamed out of top of his lungs. They hadn’t noticed that while they were getting louder they stood further away from Georgie. He ran behind the one who was stealing his daughter away from him, he tried but the man…

has a strong science fiction connotation, but research in A.I. is concerned with producing machines that are capable of doing automated tasks that require intelligent behavior, yet, one of the main advantages of A.I. is considered to be its ability to replace human workers in a dangerous environment and it’s widely recognized by the world and for military’s purposes. For instance, military people using human-controlled robots to disable the bomb. When discussing the danger of A.I, it’s important to focus on the benefits and the risks associated with A.I. In the most recent years, we have seen A.I, robots, and machines replacing several jobs that used to be done by people and with the rising of superhero movies promoting advanced technologies and weapons equipped with artificial intelligence. And technology is advancing so fast that we cannot predict what will come in the next few years or even in a hundred of years. This is a rising concern about the potentially harmful effects of A.I. on the job market. For example, there are now fewer people employed in the retail and banking industries, as self-serve machines and ATMs are implying that customers can perform most tasks themselves with these and fewer employees are needed. Moreover, we can’t deny that AI has the potential to improve on the subjects like health care, poverty, and security that are far beyond our limits and the further development of artificial intelligence and other technologies are highly…
